by the end of the Pilot Project, Autumn 2004,
- Approx. 180 hours (144 mini-discs) recorded; 91 persons interviewed; all of the discs summarized.
- Over 200 photographs borrowed and scanned before returning to owners.
- Assistance from community groups : Some of the Young
Farmers' Clubs and Women's Institutes in Carmarthenshire
have been assisting with recording.
- Training Courses held to enable Y.F.C.’s and W.I’s
to participate in project (See photograph, top right).
- Publicity : Pamphlets produced and circulated;
contacts made with organizations and contributions to newsletters
(e.g. Y.F.C.’s, F.U.W., N.F.U. Wales; W.I.) and
all of Carmarthenshire’s ‘Papurau Bro’ (Welsh
Language Newspapers); Exhibition created – shown at Carmarthenshire
W.I. annual meeting (See photographs on right).
- Meetings : Monthly VoA committee meetings; Quarterly
Progress Reports to Asiantaeth Iaith Welsh Language Agency;
Meetings with farming organizations and potential funders to promote
and discuss expansion of project.
